ATLANTIC SHORES – KEY WEST
A Brief Historical Account (as remembered by the survivors)

Scholars generally agree that sometime in the late 20th century, a quiet oceanfront motor lodge on the Atlantic side of Key West transformed into something far more… educational.

The curriculum was simple.

Course 101: Day Drinking in Direct Sunlight
Course 202: Advanced Poolside Flirtation
Graduate Seminar: “Clothing Optional: A Practical Demonstration”

Each Sunday, after the Duval Street tea dance crowd spilled out onto the island streets, a large portion of the student body relocated to Atlantic Shores. There they conducted important research involving rum runners, loud music, and the mysterious disappearance of several articles of clothing.

Field notes from the era describe:
• A legendary oceanfront pool
• Lounge chairs filled by noon
• Questionable decisions made shortly thereafter

Historians still debate exactly what happened there.
Mostly because nobody can remember it clearly.

This shirt commemorates that glorious chapter of Key West anthropology when the sun was hot, the drinks were cold, and dignity occasionally took the afternoon off.
